I have seen this device and it is NOT good quality!!!!!!!!! A waste of money. The touch screen is that although you have to PUSH rather than touch. It has been offered on other voucher sites and you will NOT be happy with it. Guess you get what you pay for.

I'd check out the android market to see the apps available. There are some, but the problem I would bet you'd find is the battery life would not last for an entire day without recharging. (I have a very similar tablet to this. It's great, but the battery life is limited).

The most specific difference between the two is quality. A capacitive screen is made of a high grade glass type material and is heat sensitive, where as a resistive screen is composed over multiple layers of a low grade transparent plastic that are pressure sensitive. Also Capacitive is multi point touch where as resistive is not. Here are a few links that you can go to that provide additional detail on the differences.

These questions are for both Teambuy and / or JABZ. 1. How does this tablet compare to the Eken M009, which I previously tried to purchase through Teambuy. 2. If I orderd within the correct period & confirmed the order in March, how lond would it take to receive the tablet (My last order from China was a Christmas gift, guaranteed delivery by Dec 21 -- it arrived one month Late. 3. The Eken M009 is a resistive tablet, ours is a capacitive. major difference in quality. also the Eken tablet has a battery life of 1600mah, the Omega RQ7 has the battery life of 3000mah which is equivalent to aprox 6 - 7 hours of continuous web surfing and video viewing. Product will arrive within 3-4 weeks. It comes completely in English and with English instructions.

Hi Teambuy, This appears to be a Haipad a10a10. check it out at haipad.net. But it ships with ICS Android 4. Are you sure that this tablet doesn't already come with ICS? Cause, if it does, it's a smoking deal, but if it doesn't the prospects of an upgrade are slim at best given that the last firmware updates on haipads site date to 2010. Any chance you can find out if it does in fact ship with ICS?

I am not entirely sure if it truly is the a10a10. Haipad does have a model that is m7s m7s which seems more likely that we are getting that.

Hi Eric, thanks for your response and not simply deleting posts like mine, which some of you competitors are apt to do. The specs for the M7 don't match - the M7sm7S (http://www.haipad.net/EnProductShow.asp?ID=15) has a Samsung A8 PV210 1Ghz processor and *looks* different than the tablet shown in the video and photos on this buy. The tablet shown in YOUR photos and YOUR video match exactly the A10A10 (http://www.haipad.net/EnProductShow.asp?ID=16) in appearance down to the buttons, slots and the speaker opening on the back. If the tablet that will be delivered doesn't match the one shown in the photos, I would be quite disappointed, as the one shown looks quite nice, esp. in white, and the specs are a bit better than the M7SM7S, in both processor and battery capacity, advertised 5pt multi-touch and possibly RAM (DDR3 for the A10A10). If you can confirm that it is the A10A10 and that it will come with ICS this is a Smokin' Teambuy! I'll keep checking back and hope you can get some definitive answers. Hopefully the links I've provided will help you. Thanks.

But you are right that the specs don't match the m7s.
But you are right, that it really is the same as the a10a10.
It i the same hardware. I have seen in this in the past when different company sell the same hardware. There's usually an OEM that makes it and sells it to them and it's to those companies for the software.

Member for a long time, but just curious about this one. Last night the teambuy hours countdown stated there was 2 hours left on this buy, so I proceeded with the purchase because it looks like a fantastic dea and I didn't want to miss outl. But now this morning there are 5 days left. If I would have known this, I would have waited. The reason being is, when I read some of the latest Q&A, there are some questions such as "is the OS upgradable to ICS Android 4" but no one knows bcause the website is down and you can't order it with the redeem ticket until March 8th. That's almost 2 weeks from now. So I take it that you then have to wait another 3-4 weeks after this for delivery. Is that correct? Furthermore, why wouldn't Teambuy offer this deal when the website was up and running / after March 8th as asked by another user? Not very professional on this one.....as there are a number of other questions you are investigating or have not bothered answering.

As this unit is only available in Canada, what happens with the warranty / break fix? Is there a local depot for drop off to be fixed or do you have to send the unit back to China? If back to China...do they cover the shipping costs, otherwise this could become a very expensive unit? Especially if there are a number of ongoing issues. Great item and don't want to rain on your parade with so many questions, but want to cover my bases as I guess everyone else would.

I saw one similar to this before. Bought it directly from the Chinese disruptor and saved half the price. I can tell you, you are getting what you pay for, more or less even less. The Screen’s are pretty shoddy and not sensitive to the touch as you can even see in the demo they have here. The load time is really slow. He turns it on almost right away in the video and it takes almost a full minute to load up while he showing off the hardware.
All these guys are, are ppl buying in bulk getting a slight discount and then reselling to ppl like us saying that these are worth 200-300 dollars when you can buy it yourself cheaper from the distributor at a few more dollars they are paying. You can find these pieces of junk on sites like this at their real prices. http://www.vkamobi.com
Use you 90 dollars towards a real tab. These are nothing like the ones we have in North America. Don’t buy the cheap rip offs.

What are the complete technical specifications of the tablet? How many cameras does it have, microphone, glass surface, etc. You've listed the name as "Omega RQ7", but I can't find any information on it. The only search result comes to this thread...

How do these differ from the Flytouch 3 tablets, or are they the same thing? Why is this make (Omega RQ7) not searchable on google? Ias that the brand name? There are alot of tablets on the market from China, and I can not seem to find this one through Google? What is the brand name on the box. thank you

Can't find Omega anywhere, but if you go to www.haipad.net and look at thire A10 tablet, you will see it is the same design and specs (except for OS), so Omega RQ7 looks like a rebranded Haipad A10A10. Which could be good news because though the tablet in the video is running Android 2.3, the manufacturer website says the tablet will run Android 4.0.

Go to google and look up Andriod tablets from China, lots of forums giving opinions on the best tablets from China (these are also) and you will likely pay less)

Ok - I will be completely up front here. This tablet is not upgradeable, no more memory can be added, nor will it be supported if you run into any issues. You can easily find these tablets for the SAME price on ebay and on AliBaba (which is a Chinese owned manufacturing portal) which pushes these products en masse.
Folks - you get what you pay for. My 2 cents - DO NOT BUY THIS!!! Pictures are deceiving, and a big shame on you to TeamBuy for allowing this product on here!

External 3G means you STILL need to buy a 3G USB stick from Rogers, Fido, Bell in order to use 3G... you cannot just plug in a sim card directly into the unit like you do with the higher end Samsung Galaxy and iPads.

I agree. If you are willing to pay more, you can certainly buy better quality specs and name brand, but you are looking at $200+ versus $120 to $130. And may or not be worth the difference as the specs of the Lenovo, Kindle, Kobo, are not necessarily a lot better, just the brand name. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether they need the security of a warranty and after-sale support or not, i.e. don't count on the upgrade. For a $100 and change it's not a bad gamble compared to $200 for a name-brand. Not everyone needs or wants an iPad or Galaxy Tab. And a search of eBay last night showed no tablets with comparable specs for less money.
Camera = 0.3MP camera. The video shows the camera in action and what quality is like. Good for Skyping, not much good for anything else. 0.3MP (800x480) is the resolution of the screen anyway, so having a higher quality camera for video-chatting would be pointless.

A 0.3MP camera is just awful. Even for video chatting it's going to be really bad. It wouldn't be pointless to have a better camera because odds are the person you are chatting with is on a computer with a resolution much higher than 800*480.
Everybody looking to buy this should expect it to not last more than a year with subpar performance and quality. If that's okay with you, buy away.
