For the Photoshop module you will require a computer with Photoshop installed. We do provide a download link for a trial of the latest version of Adobe Photoshop from our website.

In addition students will have access to a live instructor (online) during specified time intervals, to address any questions they have while attempting the tutorials / lessons / exercises.

This certificate demonstrates the highest level of proficiency in the Adobe line of products. Depending on which software you wish to certify in (ie Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash etc.) The ACA is an associate level certification and is much easier to obtain then the ACE.

Photoshop Elements is limited in functionality when compared to Adobe Photoshop. If you download the trial version of Photoshop, you can use it for the course. Then you will easily be able to navigate through Elements.

I understand that Elements is limited in functionality compared to Photoshop, but I do not want to become used to functionality I don't have (as I have no intention of purchasing Photoshop). Can I just use Elements and still be able to navigate and understand the course material?

Thank you for your inquiry. This course is intended to be taken with any version of Photoshop 7 and higher. We have not tested the material for compatibility with Elements. There may be some functions that restrict you from following certain steps in the exercises. We would suggest downloading and installing Photoshop for the exercises. Then you can easily apply the concepts to Elements, as it is identical minus certain functions.

Thank you for your inquiry. The certification for the CPP designation would work as follows. You would complete our program including all the required modules. After that you will be required to declare yourself as a "CPP" candidate. This is a simple form which you need to sign. Next you will be required to submit a Photograph that meets certain specifications. These specs are listed in your E-Learning Portal. Once your photo has been reviewed and receives a passing grade, you will need to schedule an exam through us at one of the many designated exam centers in Canada / US. After completing our program you should be well prepared for this exam. Our pass rate is over 80%.

Also, you said this is an online course which can be taken anytime. Does that mean we do NOT select a time slot in the calender and can start/stop this course at anytime? If so, once you start, can you go at your own pace or does the course need to be finished within a certain time?

Thank you for your inquiry. The Photography online course has a photo Editing component which is done in Photoshop. Therefore you have access to certain Photoshop modules that encompass various photo editing techniques. We also have another course that is strictly Photoshop and includes a volume of exercises in various areas such as web development, corporate branding, photo editing, special effects etc.
The course can be taken any time. You do not have to select any dates from our calendar, that is strictly for our in-class sessions. You can certainly go at your own pace, and log in as many times as you like throughout the year.
You will have access to live support, once you log in to the portal. The instructor will be present during specified time periods to help students who have questions.
You will also interact with instructors when you submit assignments for marking.

1. I can log in anytime I want to for one full year and work on the course.
2. I can repeat modules if I'd like to and go back and review for a full year.
3. I can go at my own pace and I have one full year to do the class, in 5 mins here, an hour there, etc. Then take a six month break and pick it up again.
I'm a busy mom with small children so I'd like to be sure I have this flexibility to stop, start, go back, etc. for a full year! Thanks for answering my question.
